Leading to the ban on all diesel and petrol vehicles by 2040, different automakers have started making strategies to shift on electric vehicles. This trend is not only speedy because the UK has given the red signal to the diesel and petrol engines but another European country was first to introduce this trend. Now they have decided to shift the UK’s most favorite Mini over the electric power. BMW MINI Engines has decided to produce the electric mini in the UK under the nameplate of e-mini.
The decision to build electric mini models in that the UK has been made by the German automaker and they will use the Cowley production facility. But it is still very fearful decision because if the UK decided to implement the Brexit decision in the future, the automaker will shift it’s all production outside the UK.
A completely electrical variation of the Mini is to be built within the UK, giving a large boost to the British vehicle industry and alleviation to the government as it trails an exit from the European Union.
